Sold my 40 Deluxe Tudor today 10-11-25, Bought it on 10-02-89, almost 36 years to the day. Had 53000 miles on it. Now has 85000 on it. Average a 1000 a year almost. Not Too Bad. Parents made me sell it. Mother Nature and Father Time.

Local machine shop finished my order ! NEW flathead SUPERCHARGER crankshaft pulleys- 3 grove like originals. We used a 2 grove truck pulley for the design. Even replicated the reverse oiling grove, but not cheap! Each pulley is one piece- machined from a solid Steel blank. Last made in the early 40s? [cast]. Newc

I just finished restoring this 1934 - 1939 style Ford flathead V8 generator. These are a real challenge to restore primarlly due to the complex 8-part bearing system. It originally came with double row tapered roller beaings along with the necessary races, felts and retainers. This was necessary to handle the radial and thrust loads of the fan mounted on the pulley. When I restore one I use a modern double row angular contact sealed bearing with custom machined spacer rings so it all fits together correctly. It is topped off with a cleaned, adjusted, tested and refurbished original Ford cutout. This one is particularly nice because it has a previously rewound armature. I run one just like it on my 1935 Ford Fordor Deluxe Touring car. Here are a few photos.
