Default New Engine SCAM

Please be aware of scammers who appear to be me.

My email address for the new engine is: [email protected]

If you get an email from me that came from a different email address, it is a scam.

The first scam was an email sent to Brian Behning of AER (Antique Engine Rebuilding), who is an excellent builder of new engines.

The scammer wanted Brian Behning to assist in purchasing an expensive machine for me, which I had not ordered. The email used in this attempt was [email protected]

The second scam was an email sent to Craig Harvey from Rotoshim in England, who built and tested a prototype of our new oil pump. This time, the scammer wanted Craig to contact him about an assignment. The email address used was [email protected]

Hi Terry,

We are restoring a 1928 Model A for the son of the original owner who is quite elderly and we would like to get it to him asap. We are in need of an engine. Can you assist?

Thank you,
Evelyn

Evelyn, per our phone call, I gave you the phone numbers for Sammy at Arizona Model A, Chandler, AZ, and Steve Becker at Berts Model A center in Englewood, CO. Hopefully, they will have a running engine that doesn't need to be rebuilt.

HI Terry,

I also received an email about the new machine you were buying and needed my help. I replied that I would be more than glad to help you out. I said to go right ahead and send me the 36K you were to give me for assisting with this and I would help in any way I could. I even thanked you in advance for sending me the 36K. For some reason, I never herd back.

Darn. We could have split the $36,000.
