Default Re: Question: 32/34 PU windshield frames vs Model A

All model A's are not the same.

Coupe, Tudor, straight windshield Cabriolet, and Pickup use the same size frame... However the upper hinge is different between 1928-29 and 1930-31, and the Cabriolet frames were chrome.

Slant windshield (Victoria, Fordor, Cabriolet, 400-A) have a different shape than the Coupe/Tudor. Again cabriolet and 400-A were chromed.

I will check an original 1933-34 frame against a coupe/tudor model A, but IIRC it has a bit of a different shape in addition to lacking the deflector.

Another consideration, is that Ford may have outsourced the windshield frames (or at least the tubing) on the "open" market and if so there may be many other makes and models that used similar frames and the average A or V8 enthusiast may not be familiar with say (hypothetically) a 1927 Hackenfracker, and confuse it with a model A frame.
