Ebay requires a time period for shipment before the buyer gets too concerned. They also require a seller to have the item shipped within that acceptable period of time. Their rules are on there and it's easy to make complaints as long as it is within the allowed period of time. From what I gather, this is the only way to do business with them where the buyer has protections.

What Rotor wrench did not mention, but seems to be the standard Howell M.O., is that they like to sell and ship what they have ready made.
They drag their feet when something has to be produced.

Hi fellows, I got really gun shy when my 912.00 was in limbo and I got no response, when I tried to email only to find out the email that was posted is no good.

When you buy from them, you will not be able to contact them. Ebay doesn't necessarily have to contact them directly either. They can take a number of actions with them that will get their attention. If they want to sell on Ebay, they have to follow the rules or lose their sales privileges on there. The buyer has to file a complaint to get any recourse but they have to try to contact the seller through the Ebay system and then wait a specific amount of time before lodging the complaint.

The money transactions are handled by either the purchasers credit card company or PayPal depending on what was used to pay. A buyer can usually get their money back but under return of product situations, shipping costs can be lost depending on the situation.

Jim,

Keep us updated on your order.

I also need a skin for my 1927 roadster decklid. I saw Howell's EBAY listing, but had other obligations so let the listings go.

Good luck,
Haard
