I can’t imagine a v8-60 in a big truck, must have been a limit on which truck it was installed in.

You got that right. The V8-60 was an option but probably rarely selected and only in cases of lighter duty applications in the lower load limit frames such as single rear wheels. Maybe for a panel van making local light deliveries.

Just because it was available didn't mean that it was selected very often.
