Small gauges to not be obvious

I have a 35 Tudor 48 and would like to monitor both sides water temp and oil pressure any ideas the smaller the gauges the better as I don't want them to stick out like a sore thumb

A lot of people mount these in the glove box. My set has a mechanical oil pressure gauge. Face of each gauge is only 1-1/2 in dia.

I have mounted extra gauges in the passenger cowl panel. You can look over at them to see what is happening with the motor.

TJ, Can you please post a photo of those "cowl panel" gauges. What size are the gauges?

Jim, I'm a little lame when it comes to posting photos, but I used the Stewart-Warner Wings gauges in my '32 cabriolet which I no longer own. Those gauges are two and a quarter overall diameter. They looked right in the car with the stock '32 gauges. I also wired them to the light switch so you could see them at night. I looked at mini gauges but I thought they were too small to see from the driver's seat.

A good idea when using multiple gauges, is to "clock" them so the needle is vertical in the normal operating position. That way you can tell at a glance what needs more attention.

I have three mini gauges mounted in a panel under the center dash panel and find they are rather hard to read in a hurry. Have to take your eyes off the road for too long to decipher the readings correctly. I would go for the standard size 2 1/8" gauges if they can be fitted in. Regards, Kevin.
