Now why would you say that ? I find it quite interesting, and fun. If you don't, why are you here?

I really don't get it. This thread has been up for days, done few zig zags, and if you don't like it why not just pass it by when you look at the main board? you already know its gone goofy, but still you look....then complain. Why not just not look?

Agree 100%. Ryan has not appointed any moderators on this site. As long as it fits the guidelines , have at it is my opinion. Some folks on here take things a tad too seriously. Loosen up and let it be. You only live once.

I like to think of it like this, if you went out for coffee with a few of your gear head buddys, the topic would overwhelmingly be cars, parts, how to, and I'm lookin at another car to buy. Thats good, but if the one guy wants to tell about building a new shop, or whats the best trailer, my hauler truck is a dog, etc, you wouldn't kick the guy out of the group, or whimper about his non Ford conversation. You may choose to not participate, but thats likely as far as it would go.
Here...folks are way to serious IMHO. I agree, its not a street rod menu here, but those threads generally die off by themselves as this group hasn't much to offer. No need to run em off, just let it fade away, no complaints required. I'm here to have fun, learn some stuff, and smile a bit. Wether its radial aircraft engines, home made woody's, and even (gasp) Toyota conversions. (special for you GB, keep it up). Its all good, and when it aint good I hit the back button and problem is solved. |

I thought you were referring to his brother Tom. Sheesh, I go away for three days and you guys manage to get the off topic thread off topic. C'mon guys, pull it together. What was the original topic again?

I was having so much fun suggesting that Richard Petty and Tom Petty were brothers that I was still laughing at myself as I wrote the other lines. In re-reading it almost could sound as if I were admonishing you guys or somethin'. The last sentence was me, even forgetting what the thread started out as. Count this as one of those times when you make a 'funny' joke and nobody gets it (for good reason)and then you have to start explaining it. I guess I won't quit my day job just yet
Sorry if any of you took it the wrong way. GB
