It will come as no surprise to the active members here that I tend to stray from the topic here on a what seems to be a regular basis. The locals have been very good to me by not calling me on the carpet for off brand power plants and running gear, even from foreign made vehicles. I attribute that to the fact that I scrounge up what I have laying around, build a period looking vehicle that is practical and I can get some use from. They are built in the spirit of our dad's generation. Making do. For all the support and the many kind words (and free parts!) I want to thank you. I happen to enjoy the off topic stuff like the post about stepping outside and hearing two radial engine aircraft overhead, maybe because they are from our V8 era, or just the nostalgia. Perhaps the other reason I stray is simply because I can easily go a week or ten days without stepping foot off my remote hillside property. There's nobody to banter with and no breakfast joint in town where the locals hang out and make wisecracks with each other. I have a very small presence on a toyota landcruiser site, and on 'ford truck enthuiasts, but my wife will tell you that the 'Barn' is where I am at home. I completely and honestly understand the need for knowing the correct type of bolt for a '36 battery tray, but I rarely read those. Just the way Skip mentioned, I just scroll past what doesn't interest me. In closing, Denny, you have my respect and I am not arguing your point, just expressing my my particular take on it. The FTE forum has been much compromised by slammed down, small blocked, 22" shod 'trucks'. GB
