I'm looking for a someone reputable in San Diego to rebuild my carburetor. Does anyone know someone local that they could recommend?

I'd send it to Charlie Schwendler in New York. With "California Pricing" in effect, the shipping is probably a wash and he is quite simply the best.

The top casting is from a 91-99 and the center section is from a 59 if the Carb. is for your avatar suggest finding a 91-99 center section. Ask the rebuilder of your choice if they have one.

Sorry with the late response. I haven't logged in for a couple weeks.

Yes, it's for the fire engine that's my avatar. The carburetor is pieced from two different carbs? If it is, thanks for the heads up. I'm learning as I go. It appears either or after the Department of Defense auctioned it off, someone mixed and matched several parts on it.
