Default Re: 47 Super Deluxe Clutch Catching Question

Rubbing on the floorboard??? I’m nearing completion of a restoration of my ‘46 Mercury, and I had issues with the clutch pedal rubbing on the floorboard when the pedal was close to the floor. I couldn’t realign the floorboard to give more clearance, so I whittled on the floorboard a bit with a hacksaw blade to open up the hole on one side. When I pushed the clutch pedal in, there was an obvious scraping sound and a noticeable drag. Not sure if you have any slop or wear in the pedal bushing. That might be contributing to your issue.
