What grease is everyone using to grease the zerk fittings on your ride?

I still like to use the same pail of green chassis gun & cup grease I got at the corner Sears store a long long time ago, far far away. Great for smearing on gaskets too. 8^)

I get the tubes from Tractor Supply, if it is good enough for farm machinery, it is good enough for my old Ford!

I don't think that the kind of grease is that important. I remember that I was surprised to find out from the owner's manual that the lubrication interval in my '51 coupe was only 1000 miles. With an interval like that, I would think that frequency of lubrication trumps grease quality.

Lucas Red and tacky especially down here in the desert heat. Continuing with Tubman, my father taught us kids ALWAYS 1,000-1,500 miles in the rainy NW. 6-8 months out of the year the streets are wet and washing the suspension. Continuing his thought, more about purging the moving parts of water.
