The thing is, it is today and now. Follow NeilinCA's $4K 5 window build thread on the HAMB. If you think the motor is nice, wait until you see the rest of car and chassis.

But a lot of the chrome on the engine, transmission and chassis is old chrome, parts that I found at swapmeets, etc already plated. I wouldn't and couldn't set out to do this today with all fresh plating.

Here's a run down of old and new plating

Engine:

Old Chrome - Starter, Generator, Idler assembly, fan, 97 carbs, air cleaners, fuel pump, fuel pump stand, oil filter housing

New Chrome - Water pumps, timing cover, motor mounts, plug wire conduits, oil pan, coil, headers

Transmission:

Old Chrome - Transmission case, Shift tower, shift lever, knob, clutch release arm

New Chrome - Rear mount, emergency brake handle and bracket

Front Suspension:

Old Chrome - Axle, wishbone, perches, spring, u-bolts and pad, backing plates, tie rod ends, steering box, pitman arm

New Chrome - Spindles, shackles, shock arms, dogbones, draglink, tierod

Rear Suspension:

Old Chrome - Spring, u-bolts

New Chrome - Axle bells, banjo, radius rods, torque tube, backing plates, shackles, shock links

Misc:

Old Chrome - Grille insert, BLC headlights, front spreader bar, hood latches, high crown baby moon hubcaps

New Chrome - Column tube, battery box, pedal assembly, throttle pedal, garnish moldings, windshield frame

Unreal, Neal. Like I said on the HAMB, this build is going into the history books as one of the nicest '32's ever built. The attention to detail is simply incredible.
