Under $1 million. It's like they are giving it away!

If it's under a million, I'll bet it's not the one Kindig (Bitchin' Rides) restored

Seems like I remember $4M is what it went for in 2008. If so, quite the investment! What do I know?

Must need tires.
I think I read someplace that they now had to be specially manufactured.

Flathead powered? Can't imagine any GM engine could have hauled that beast.

Original powerplant was the 302 inline GMC six cylinder with 4 speed Hydra-Matic trans.

Looks very tall, I’d be afraid of the bridges in my area.

There was a Futureliner restored to the original 50s configuration on display at the National Auto and Truck Museum in Auburn at the same time as the Central National Meet. It was on a trailer to go somewhere on the last evening and I took the opportunity to take a picture of my car next to it. That Futureliner had restored hubcaps and whitewall tires with "Futureliner" molded into them.

The 302 GMC motors were an early 50s repower by GM along with adding an auxiliary transmission and a lot of additional rework. The Museum had a great display on the Futureliners, worth a look if you are in the Auburn area.

That is the spectacularly restored Futureliner #10. It rolled in while we were setting up for the awards banquet at the ACD Museum. I also snapped a picture, but didn't use my car. Don't tell Carolyn that I posted this.

#10 was restored by a group of volunteers in the Grand Rapids Michigan area. Was in Iola Wisconsin for the show and swap meet and for a couple bucks got to sit in the drivers seat and pretend I was on the open road. A real gem!

Original engine for early Futurliners was a GM (Detroit) Diesel.

40 mph top speed, but it was 1939 and we were not in such a hurry. That driver sure did have a good view.
