Default Model B rear end vs v8 rear end

How do the rear ends of a model B and a v8 differ?

The 4cyl rear end torque tube is 1-3/4 shorter than the V8 torque tube

B has an unsupported pinion on the back end. V8 got a bearing there. The B can be easily differentiated by the round casting where the TT and center meet. The V8 is scalloped there.

He has a 33 4cyl and I think referring to his car which has the scalloped flange on the banjo.

In 1932 they are the same, including the torque tube. There are different gear ratios. There is a late rear end with 34 style center section etc. but they are rarely encountered.
