Default 1939 truck parking lights

Did the 39 truck have parking lights? I am working on the 12v conversion and I realized I don’t have any light to hook up as a park light.

Short answer is no. If you can find the headlight stands for a '40/'41 conventional big truck or COE's up to '47 they had a parking light in the stand and you can swap them out for the stands on your '39.

I think I will try and find a way to add an extra bulb to the headlight. Clear some silver off and glue a light socket on or something like that.

ActionYobbo...The headlight stands shown by 51504bat are the same as the 38/9 pickups except for the lights in the stands. They require no fender modifications to use them. Some of the people I know use them on 38/9 pickups not for parking lights but for turn signals. Good luck with your project.

I installed the stands on my 39 . Kept them as running lights. I like them .

Thanks for the replies. I had planned on getting the stands to use as blinkers but so far have not.
@mike in mass what’s your wiper setup?
