Can someone help me Identify the location of the Oil pressure relief on a 1936 flathead. Its not on the oil pump.
Based from what I can see in the books I have I'm guessing its where the oil pressure gauge is mounted on the block. Is that correct? if so does anyone happen to know the size for the bolt that should be there. I had a hose for an external oil filter on the top side. |

The oil pressure relief valve an all Ford flathead’s from 1932 up to 1948 is in block in front of valley. Remove intake and you will see a nut in center and front of valley

found many a 1/4" washer on top of the spring under the cap--must have been an old time way of raising the oil pressure
