My starter does not have this. How is this starter switch connected to the floor switch?

Nor should it have one. That was used on '32 fours until the change from a cable-activated switch to the foot-operated switch, the same as V8s.

I have a spare model b engine that has a starter with this switch. I guess I cannot use that starter on my existing car. I have been having problems with my starter. I guess it needs rebuilding, because if the rotor happens to stop in a dead area I can't get the starter to run. I guess hand cranking the engine will not spin the starter to an active portion of the armature. Last edited by FrankWest; 07-01-2024 at 11:21 AM. |

Can I swap out the internals of this 1932 starter for use on my 1933 starter Model B if I need to?

Right hand drive 1933/34 Bs have a starter motor pull cable from the dash, and switch as above.

Not surprising as its part number is BF-11450 which was originally first released for '32 RHD fours.
