I sold a 36 DeLuxe Tudor humpback last Labor Day for $27,500. The car, however, was literally like brand new.

Spend some time cleaning up the car and detailing the interior and engine compartment. check around on prices and see what has sold for the same car in the same condition. This will give you a relative idea of what the market is for a 35 Ford tudor. Once advertised beware of scammers. Since you are new to this I would only accept cash or a verified wire transfer from bank to bank. Cashier's checks can come back to bite you unless it's from someone you know very well.

Just my opinion, but judging by the condition of the rest of the car I would say the oil pressure is fine. It's just not what you might be used to seeing. As long as some pressure is showing when driving down the road all is well. Very little or even no pressure when idling is common in these older engines.
You say it runs smooth. If no no knocks or bangs then stop worrying about it. You're not a car guy. I am. If it were me I would change the oil for either straight 30 or 20W50 if it could be said detergent type oil has already been used. I might also be tempted to remove the added on oil filter and plug the feed and drain holes. Trying another mechanical gauge may also be in order. |

That trip today would be much more difficult. In your Pop's day, there was a gas station, in every little town, with a "Gomer Pile" mechanic on hand to help keep passing travelers on the road. Today, non-existent! |

The car deserves to be kept in original form for posterity. I had a 36 in almost the same shape. Paid 100 ucks for it in 1950. It was in storage since 1942. Unfortunatly I had to replace the engine. That costanother 40 dollars. But it was like a new car for me in high school. Then I had to go to war!!!!!

Hi guys, I'm in a similar situation with another 1935 Ford Deluxe Fordor Touring Sedan only it's Blue with red pin-striping - I just joined the forum and thankfully can now see everyone's images. Anyone know what happened with this car? OP never followed up after all your good advise. I'd post an image but I can't do that yet, thanks in advance for any reply and apologies for my future short posts to get up over the magic 8.

I bought a '35 5 window coupe from a friend who got it from the original owner. My friend drove it some, used it in parades and then put it in a climate controlled basement where it sat for 42 years. I had to rebuild the distributor to get it running. It has no oil gauge, so i just started it and ran it as normal for an old car, although 'only for a short distance and on and off the trailer at 2 EFV8 national meets for rouge awards. I hooked up an oil gauge to just to see what it was and found about 15psi cold, fast idle and 0psi after warmup. It starts and runs fine and has no worrisome noises and I know it is oiling some by the smoke out the exhaust!
