Yes the 2GC works very well in this application. The trick here is to adjust the timing and carb for best AF readungs, It shouls run in the upper14's low 15's milling the heads or increasing the CR with an aftermarket head. Here we tune for mileage. Stock jetting of the 2GC is very close. I have this setup in my truck.
