Default Re: 8BA oil pan rear sump mount?

I have the same rear sump oil pan that I bought in 1964 on my 8BA in my 40. It is a rear sump oil pan that came off a 1949-53 Merc. That pan was needed in order to have tie rod clearance. I welded the lug nut to the oil pan drain bolt to make easier access. Those studs on your pan are for a bracket that mounts there. I think Ford pickups also used it.
Look at these oil pans for comparison.
