Default Tillotson Carburetor Identification

I'm pretty new to A's and are working my way through my first one. About ready to fire it however I have a couple leaks in the carb to attend to. I obviously see its a Tillotson carburetor however can't find any other markings to identify it except the 05805 in the float bowl and the 05806 above the float.

Wondering if anyone can help me identify the carburetor so I can find a diagram, rebuild kit, etc. and also any advice in general on it.

Thanks!!

Thanks for the suggestion mcgarrett but I’m in Canada and they don’t ship outside the US. I’m going to do some more research and see what I can find.

All these Tillotsons (same shape) are the same, blank, X or XF. the markings are just marketing hype.
The numbers on the inside of the top and bottom castings, are date codes. Funny, on my Tillotsons I only have 4 digits.

I've gone through the carb and determined the threads in the fuel inlet are worn right out. The fitting won't tighten well and can't get a seal. Looks like I'll be replacing at least the top half of the carb.

Anyone have a nice rebuilt one sitting on their shelf they'd like to sell? I'm thinking I'll stick with a Tillotson as I'll have some spare parts with this one I guess.

Thanks Mr. Texas. My understanding is once these threads are done for you can't replace them as it's a fuel fitting? Am I wrong on this?

They are reproduced but not inexpensive. Used ones could provide parts or change to a Marvel Schebler. Both show up on flea-pay now and then.

Have them ship to a friend in the USA and have your friend ship to you.
