The V8 shift lever wears at the ball on the end of the stick, that makes the shifter sloppy. I put a piece of aluminum round stock on the Mitchell shift lever instead of a shift knob, mainly cause I didn’t like bending over to shift it..I’m going to try and adapt a swan neck shift lever to the Mitchell linkage.. two swan necks side by side would be neat.. but it probably won’t work.. |

Re: Mitchell overdrive.
They are a little over $3000 but may go up a couple of hundred more as Steve Mitchell has a long waiting list and not enough workers. I got my name on the waiting list for my 28 roadster but they could not tell me how long of a wait it will be. I do know that the wait is worth it in the long run.

Re: Mitchell overdrive.
Good Afternoon...Yes they are worth the wait. We've had ours for 17 years...still going strong...At that time, Sue Mitchell agreed to make a longer shift handle so that it would be the same as the gear shift...Charged $30 extra! Ernie in Arizona

Re: Mitchell overdrive.
When I spoke to Steve about a month ago he was quoting 6-9 months, so I'll be happy to have mine by the end of the calendar year.
