New mirror for my 41 pickup. What could possibly go wrong?
I decided to upgrade the mirror on the Old 41pickup. Hey, it's just a case of knocking the hinge pin out. Easy, right? Well, not quite. The half hour job that took 2 days.....

Those hinge pins can be stubborn. Had one break on an International truck and replaced it with a reasonable facsimile years ago. .

Mart I have had to deal with hinge pins on a couple of old Fords and, as you know, they can be a real pain!! Proper tools or no. Glad to see you succeeded.

Do hinge pins come out easier if they've been heated? If so, has anyone tried using low voltage / high current to avoid destroying paint?
