Re: OT A story for WW2 Jeep guys
Half safe is on display at Ben's old school in WA. His first book on the odyssey was called "Half Safe" The second half from England back to his starting point via SE Asia, China and Mongolia, across the Bearing sea and across the US is called "The Second Half of Half Safe".
I have a friend who has a copy signed by Ben. It is a terrific read I couldn't put down.

Reminiscent of "Tinkerbell" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tinkerbelle Except Manry went back to a "normal" (sort of) life afterwards. The book made for an engaging 5th Grade book report in 1967. Joe K
