My '35 has rubber bumpers on the garnish and inner door panel.

Thought the fuzzy strips were a '36 deal, go all around opening.

On several '33 hotrods; instead of the original bumpers, I got universal fuzzy strip from the trim shop and used small screws to attach them to the garnish and inner door panels.

The strips are similar to the beltline weather strips in the above Steele link; but it came in 8' lengths.

That would probably work for what you want to do.
