My friend burnt his finger badly when he accidently shorted a battery with his ring being part of the circuit. My son's friend lost a finger when he let go of a bar he was hanging on and his ring snagged onto something.
My wedding ring remains in my bedside cabinet where it has been for the last 30 plus years.
