Re: Steering Column Support Conversion
Last weekend I put the dash rail support on my '30 town sedan. I had to cut off the gas tank support as it was too long to leave it in place. It gave me more room between the bottom of the steering wheel and the seat, which is a good thing! I loosened the two bolts that held the steering gear to the frame, but that was not a problem. The new support was ordered from Snyder's. All in all, a one hour job.

Re: Steering Column Support Conversion
JayJay, I was surprised myself. I did one on a friend's car several weeks ago and we experienced the same as you. The support we put on was a little longer than the gas tank support, but he had it for a long time and never used it. Mine was new from Snyder's last week. Who knows?
