1958 Ford Del Rio Ranch Wagon under restoration. It seems that the 1958 Fords are gaining in popularity? |

Photo shown in POST #604 is not a DEL RIO while the photo in POST #605 is.
Both trim levels had the same BODY CODE (59B) same as 1957. Who knows?

I have to agree with you. Sometimes Canadian market cars/trucks were just a bit prettier or fancier than the American versions. But they sometimes didn't have the broad scope of options, either. I might be in the minority, but I love the looks of the '58 Ford. However, I'd say the grille on the American version was one of weaker styling elements on the car. It kind of looks like something a hot rodder made, which can be good or bad depending on your perspective. |

I got a kick out of that video. Lots of good info except when it showed the picture of the '58 352 FE interceptor engine. the video showed what looked like a 260 or 289 V8 with an interceptor decal on the air cleaner and Y Block Thunderbird Special decals on the valve covers.

) the 58 BIRD. If the same hood scoop design as used on the BIRD was also used on the FORD, it would make one huge difference (IMO)As for the most beautiful, my choice is the 56 CROWN, VICTORIA and SUNLINER. Properly trimmed out it makes one beautiful car ...
