Labor is money too. The older you get the more time has an affect. I love to fab stuff but I've learned to balance my time a lot better on projects and especially if someone else can do it cheaper than I can. My time gets more valuable every year.

Exactly how bad is the bumpsteer with flipped uprights and the steering arms not heated and bent down?

Flipped uprights and altered steering arms have little or nothing to do with bumpsteer.
The factory bumpsteer will still be present unless a bumpsteer kit that moves the inner tyrod ends forward is installed.

Have no idea but it is like the one that I installed many years ago made by Fatman. (the Jamco one may be made by Fatman)

Yes, you are correct in that Fatman makes that kit. Having this setup on your car for some years, I take it you felt it worked/was worth it? Thank you.

If you know what bumpsteer is and have experienced it then the kit works and to me has been worth it.

knock the rivets out of the lower control arm, spring mounts, put a one inch spacer in, replace the stock bolts with grade 8 she'll be low. And it is totally reversable and easy. The lowering block can be aluminum or steel, 1" by 1 1/4" , kinda old fashion but it works.

Good grief, why go thru all that nonsense when shorter Aerostar springs accomplish the same thing?

I am well aware of what bumpsteer is. Based on your answer I will keep this setup on the "to do list" for my '51.
