I anyone offering LED tail light inserts for a 36?
I don't want or need the housing, trim or lens. I would prefer white LEDs instead of red, so my blue dots are blue and the license plate illumination is white. I'm 12v as well. Last edited by johndee138; 04-29-2021 at 07:09 PM. Reason: additional info |

I purchased 6 volt non polarity led 1157 white bulbs on eBay. Just replace standard bulb with led, should work with most directional signal units. I did use a single element for the fronts, they work great, super bright. Still waiting to receive and try the dual elements for the rears. I will post an update once I test them out.

Not sure if the turn signals come standard with a 12 volt bulb in the unit itself, it barely lit up. Took me a while but I found a 6 volt bulb that fit inside the unit, nice and bright now. Directionals also work great with 6 volt third brake light in the rear window.

instead of a no load flasher you can wire in a incandescent bulb in the trunk ,out of sight, on both sides and that will make the regular flasher unit operate

I tried installing LED bulbs in the rear lights and the flasher will not flash. I have LED in the front and a rear window Brakeklighter, with standard bulbs in the rear all works fine. Some people say install a resister. Where would you put the resistor and what size?
