A favorite family story is that my Grandfather bought a new Model T in 1925 and drove from Taylorville (south of Springfield Illinois) to Cleveland Ohio in three days. He and my Grandmother and my 5-year-old father camped in farmer's front yards on the way.
Surely you can match that, given your overdrive and our much-improved secondary roads!
