Re: Walker Radiator
Since I've been a distributor for over 25 years my notification was direct from Walker. It may not be effective the 11th but that's what the e-mail said

Re: Walker Radiator
It’s never good when one of our suppliers closes down. The choices become less and the prices may well escalate!

Re: Walker Radiator
If I wanted a Walker Radiator I try ordering one from Speedway, they carry a large inventory.

Re: Walker Radiator
If an aluminum radiator is acceptable look into WIZARD RADIATOR in West Falls, N.Y.
....about 5 miles from me out in the sticks.....Most guys including me run these rads and are very happy. They have cad drawings and a skilled staff. My '32 rad came off a cad drawing and fit quite nicely. 716 655 6761..........wizardcooling.com |

Re: Walker Radiator
Gosh! 2020 has been a terrible year in so many ways.
Seems like the "Good Old USA" is slipping away. But, we shall stand tall even when our back's against the wall. |

Re: Walker Radiator
Sure glad I got a new Walker last spring for my '41. I do think it is odd they didn't sell the company or make other arrangements to keep it.

Re: Walker Radiator
As a country we have been known to do just that. And 'operation light speed' is bearing witness to this as I write.

Re: Walker Radiator
We used walker radiator's in all our jobs, street rod, customs and more. It will be sad to see them go. (papa nick)

Re: Walker Radiator
Heard rumors last night on Instagram and Facebook. This is similar to the time Clark Foam abruptly stopped making surfboard blanks. Affected everyone. I was about to order a Walker radiator for my coupe, so I scrambled around the internet and eventually found one at Speedway. Summit has a few, too. They're on sale at close-out prices -- if they have the model you need.

Same thing happened when Chassis Engineering abruptly closed their doors. Eventually Heidt's came in and took over. Hopefully a quality vendor will do the same with Walker. There's just too much history and goodwill to walk away from.

Re: Walker Radiator
Yes, we are losing an important supplier to our hobby. Hate to see them go. It's been a great run. So lets sit back and be cool. No reason to get overheated. Our needs are shrouded with solutions. Don't boil over. I raise a glass to your health. Happy Holidays.

Re: Walker Radiator
I called Speedway this morning and bought their last 32 Ford sbc and two 32 flathead radiators. Thanks for the tip, Gary.
