Zeke3, again another detail i omitted, i'm new at starting new threads. Yes, i had the crank ground so that i could use a rope seal on the rear main bearing.
Cadillac512, thanx for the positive comment regarding the timing pointer. I think that the simplest way is usually the best way.
Cajunfirehawk, the cost was minimal, probably less than $100.00, but the benefit of not having oil leaks and sludge build up in the motor. . . Priceless!
