Default 1953 Ford 2dr Club Coupe

City: Lockhart
State: Texas
Price: 800

1953 Ford 2 door Customline Club Coupe
Factory Flathead V8 Car

This car was found behind a building about 6 years ago. It was obviously a drag car in the 1960's. It had a Pontiac 389 mated to a Ford 3spd Trans. Had a 9" Rear with Traction Master bars and old pie-crust slicks on old chrome reverse wheels.

I couldn't afford it when I found it, a friend of a friend bought it, sold the Poncho motor and some other stuff in his attempt to build a custom. It got passed around a bit before I finally was able to get it as a bare roller, just as you see it below. I was going to build a gasser with an FE, but have decided that I can't build them all and need to free up things that are tying me down. Would love to see someone ressurect this car.

Still has the 9" Rear and Traction Master traction bars.
Still has the vintage Tube Grille
Still has the remnants of blue metalflake interior
Has rebuilt front brakes, new hoses, and new master cylinder.

no motor, no transmission. no title

floors are rusty, rockers are showing rust, as are rear quarters...nothing more than the average neglected old car. Rest of body is pretty darn nice and straight. Had some fancy bondo molding around the grille but we chipped it off to reveal that it wasn't covering rust, just done to reshape the front fenders to fit the grille better. weird.

$600 cash
Located in Lockhart, Texas

I have another ad with a '66 Ford pickup with a running FE engine that I was going to use in this car. I will make a package deal if you buy both vehicles. I also have an Edelbrock Streetmaster 390 Intake for that FE engine that I'll make a deal on, and also have a complete straight axle front end with springs, rebuilt drum brakes, steering arm, tierod, etc that I'll toss into the package. Easy way to build a gasser out of a real former drag car.

PM me.
