Had a similar problem on a ‘35 convertible sedan.
Got a coil adapter and two new NAPA coils. Did the same thing.
It would run poor after about 15 minutes. Wouldn’t restart until it sat maybe half an hour.
Sent the old Ford coil to Skip.
Car has run perfect ever since. That was 3 or 4 years ago.
Now if it has run for an hour and you shut it off it will start right up as soon as you hit the starter button.
Skip, the magic dragon. The only way to go.
