There are no components inside the distributor that are voltage-sensitive. And, anything that MIGHT be current-sensitive is not threatened because OHM's Law would reduce the effects of any current involved, like small gauge wires and the sizing of connection hardware. The points don't care about voltage. The coil and any resistors are the only items requiring consideration with a voltage change..... IGNITION-wise! DD
