Yeah, I wrote my post wrong. The block I saw that was ruined was decked at the angle the valves were. MY BAD. It looked pretty weird let me tell you. There is a chance the guy still has it and if he does I will get a picture of it.

Even better, Dale could actually have said: "- so there will be some variance, due to the various variances in the VARIOUS drawings." DD |

This is the challenge of our "American" language (and spoken variants) . . . a simple word can mean SO many different things . . . depending on the context, the delivery, the situation. Something can go from an obvious insult, to a warm greeting amongst friends. So . . . "bastards" can surely be a term of endearment (at least I think so) - and was written as such up above. LOL PS: I grew up in SoCal . . . was hard to explain to my newly arrived foreign friends that the word "Dude" could mean at least a half dozen things . . . all depending on the specifics of the situation, the delivery and the deliverer . . . ![]() Now don't get me started on the word "Sonszabitches" . . . which in my Finnish culture is quite prevalent . . . |

Apparently there is a VARIANCE on the original Ford drawings?? Or, the interpretation of same. The original drawings I own clearly show the camshaft offset at .0192 to .0232. It is difficult for me to imagine a wider VARIANCE in the tolerances for this dimension.

Or perhaps you have obsolete drawings?

I think I'll rework my CAD model and see WHAT actual dimension for the CAM offset, results in the specific valve angles shown (which don't have a variance). |
