Sponsored Links (Register now to hide all advertisements) When we were young, we just kept topping them up with recycled oil and they went for-ever! Today, with an inserted engine and full flow filter, I change the oil at around 3000 mile intervals. If we did it at 500 mile intervals, on some trips we'd be changing the oil four times which to me seems crazy? I grease the front suspension and steering more frequently to keep the steering smooth and relatively effortless
