Roy Nacewicz 13 Oct 1942 - 18 April 2019. Pictured at the V8 Grand Nationals - Dearborn - June 2018 with his 1932 Ford Sedan Delivery. Roy's passing is very sad news indeed. A huge loss to the Early Ford V8 restorers. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time. |

When I called his shop, he answered the phone. If you asked any old ford question he would chat. Was always kind.
Great to see the face to the man on other side of the line. Thanks for posting. . |

How sad, Call him up to order hardware, answer every question, talk forever, to the point you wonder how he makes a living, call back two days later, same thing talk for ever. The only reason he got off the phone was because he had another call. Always a high point to visit him at Hershey.

Yes and that young man in the middle is the current president of the Early Ford V-8 Club of America...Michael Driskell. I believe he started this thread. |

Oh, my G-d. I had to read the first post several times before I could even believe my eyes. Roy was a true gem. I often called him and we talked for hours when I was just asking advise. I will really miss his dry humor but mostly his friendship.
Rest in peace, my friend Bruce

Sad news indeed. I've met Roy at Hershey, ordered parts from him numerous times. I even have a list on my desk waiting on me to call and place the order from him. I hope the business lives on.

Sorry to hear, just looking at the picture, posted in #66 above, this is three of the most helpful men during my 32 restoration. David and Michael, I will say thank you, and I wish that I could have told Roy thanks again, as I did each time I talked with him.

As everyone has mentioned, Roy was always very helpful. I was just about to place another order with him when this news broke. Very sad indeed. He will be missed by many.

I will miss seeing Roy at Hershey every year and our conversations when he would order parts. When Roy started a new project he became obsessed, learning all he could, thus becoming an expert on the subject and would gladly share this wealth of information with others. His expertise will be missed almost as much as his friendship. Mike McKennett

Sure will miss calling him and having him solve all my problems in such a friendly way, often with the dog heard coming in and out the door. Roy's products were all the best. How satisfying to be able to assemble the old Fords correctly. Thanks to everyone for the great pictures! So long Roy!

Sad indeed, don't get on line as often and its hard when you do to see news like this.
Well remembered and thankful we had him to help us all on our various V8 projects. Thoughts with his family and close friends, over half of my 39 P/U is held together thanks to Roy. |
