I always prefer 2 doors but the older I get the less it means to me. I sure wouldn't turn down that one. That looks really nice.

one of my friends always said, "whenever you buy a used car, always buy a four door, that way you get two doors for free!

elturo, thanks for posting the driver side of the engine. I am attempting to finish my engine compartment and forgot to take pictures of EVERYTHING when i dismantled it. that was a big help.

Glad it was helpful. Let me know if you need any more. Do you happen to know what the numbers are on the firewall ?

Your heater core hoses are more centered on the firewall than my 47... otherwise.. it is same motor as mine, though you can't see it in the first photo.. I have the core removed (for now).. but you can see it in the 2nd photo

I would think that the engine is stock as the battery is on the drivers side. I guess they did for the 6 cy.

Well,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,yes,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i do like skirts. But it kind of depends on who is wearing them.
![]() But as for a 48 Ford,,,,,,not really. Just my choice. But hey,,,,,,,,,,,,,if they blow your Skirt up,,,,,,,Oops,,,just a pun there,,,, Then I say run them. That's what makes Old Hot Rods cool. No cookie cutter. Every one should do their car as they like. By the way. That's is a very nice sedan. You did good.

ZZLegend.. haha ! I ran skirts on my 50 and will run them on my 36. First thing my daughter said when I got the 48 was "don't ruin this one with skirts, just leave it alone"
I have to at least see what they look like.. VintageCopper47 how do you know it's a CA car? I do know it was purchased at Pomona. |

I like skirts on a 50. But a 48? Um, not really. And looking at your previous pictures, it looks like California plates mounted on it. Very nice car.
