1927 Roadster Turtledeck Part Question
I found a turtle deck to rebuild, and I'm not sure where to find some of the parts for it. For now I'm wondering what the "T" shaped piece is called that fits between the quarters and the horizontal parts. In the picture it's got a piece of blue tape on it. I saw it for a coupe once but didn't save the link.
Also, does anyone make a patch panel for the upper front corners? I see a lot of them with damage there, I'm kind of surprised it's not one of the panels I see for sale. Thanks... Ok it was Mac's and it's for sedans, not coupes. Also found it at Snyders, but nothing yet for the roadster. Mac's lists the sedan part as 36" long, I measured the roadster and it's 45" not to mention it would have to be formed to match the curves. http://www.macsautoparts.com/ford_mo...ll-sedans.html

Re: 1927 Roadster Turtledeck Part Question
You can check with Howell's sheet metal. Not sure if this is what you need but check item S-401R. As for the upper corners, search the Hamb. A lot of guys have made their own. But you might want to search history on Howells. Not the best reviews.
Good luck with it. http://www.fordor.com/category.cfm?c...ept=0927modelt |

Re: 1927 Roadster Turtledeck Part Question
Thanks, yeah I knew about Howells before I ordered and it seemed many of the complaints were how long things took. That's why I ordered stuff right away, if I have to wait I may as well start waiting as soon as I can. The issue now is, there's a good chance they are underwater and making or shipping car parts isn't their most pressing issue.

Re: 1927 Roadster Turtledeck Part Question
The parts I ordered from Howell's showed up today. Still looking for the T pieces though.
S-401R on thier site is a rain gutter, not the T piece. I saw the same type of thing on another brand car so I'm sure the stuff must be available somewhere. I suppose asking Snyder's wouldn't be a bad idea either...

Call Mark Freimiller at Model T Haven. He can cut the piece you need from an original hulk.
