All items manufactured in the USA carry at least a 50% tax burden. Taxes range from state and federal corporate income tax to surcharges on telephone calls. Real Estate, county, social security, business licenses, fuel taxes, unemployment taxes, work mens compensation on and on and on.
These taxes make us non competitive in the world economy. I would mention Ethanol but I think one of the monitors is from Iowa and he will delete this tread. Never under estimate the power of a large group of stupid people.
