1934 Horn Rebuild
I have a 1934 Deluxe 5 window coupe. I need to get both horns rebuilt to "show quality" and converted to 12V. I do not want to try this myself.
Who provides this service????? Thanks. |

Re: 1934 Horn Rebuild
They will work just fine on 12v. You can buy a 12v to 6v reducer resister with heat sink for around $20. What is to rebuild? If they don't make a sound adjust them. If they toot no need to "rebuild." Both mine on my 41 didn't toot until I adjusted them. I feed them 12v.

I think "show quality" here means 'looks', not only 'sounds'. 8^) https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=72020 Jack E/NJ Last edited by Jack E/NJ; 04-24-2017 at 05:28 PM. |

Thanks for the lead. Unfortunately it pertains to Model A horn rebuilds. Model A horns are completely different than mine. It's not a matter of operating 6V horns on 12V. My horns need new parts and rebuilding by an expert. I need to find someone to rebuild horns for my 1934 coupe. Thanks, Daryl |
