Default ID'ing axles and housings

I'll be 75 in June, so I've decided to start getting rid of stuff. For more years than I want to count, I've been shifting 4 pre-49 axles housings and 2 axles around my shop. I think they'd be easier to get rid of if I knew what they were out of. Are there part numbers on them or some identifying measurement? I've looked the axles over and the keyways and threads look excellent, so someone may want them. Are the housings good for anything other than "traditional" jackstands? I believe shipping them would be cost-prohibitive.

Here's an article from Street Rodders that identifies axles and housings.

Hey Tub.....You quite probably have some decent chump change layin' around in your shop there. Almost every piece you have there has some part of it that is susceptible to some form of damage during use. Of course, axles break in various forms, and good ones are getting sparse. Even the bearing surfaces on those housings can go south, requiring expensive repair, or replacement. Shipping one GOOD piece is certainly more convenient (and cheaper) than shipping an entire assembly of unknown condition. If you could post some good pictures, along with tape measure dimensions, I'll bet we can figure-out what you have 'cuz all of those pieces have details that make them distinguishable to some of us. Post some pics!
