Default Electric Wiper Switch 1937 Ford Coupe

In looking for a way to wire up an electric wiper motor (Mighty Mite) in my '37 Coupe I realized that the cigar lighter was unused and unlikely to be ever used.
I removed the lighter assembly and removed the element. Next I drilled a hole through the back of the housing small enough to just "thread" the shaft of my switch through. The switch I used was a Cole Hersee #M-606BP which has a shaft of perfect length for the application.
I replaced the knob that came with the switch with the lighter knob. It threaded right on (10-32 thread).
After inserting the lighter housing into the dash, I threaded the shaft of the switch into it from behind. With some minor adjustment of knob the shaft, the knob seats properly against the chrome ring when the switch is off.
