That's a fine looking truck, Art.
The pulleys for the trucks are wider than the cars - might be the cause of your belt sizing issue. Brakes, fuel line, and other minor stuff for a solid bit of old iron. I'm guessing that the dual exhaust will prevent use of the under bed carrier for the spare. That and the size difference with radial v. bias ply widths.

don't know much about wa. state but if they use much salt on the roads front fenders under head lites, rear part of fronts around running boards, door bottoms, and rear fenders all over. patched several. bondo was just coming out, metal patches with screws and pop rivets. not pretty, but good enough to pass Illinois state inspections back in the early 60s. dodges, chevys, ihcs, as well. mikeh

A local flatheat guy hooked me up with the linkage. Made all the difference in the world.
On a bad note, I noticed some coolant oozing from some head bolts. The I remembered the PO told me he had installed the heads, a nice guy, but no Henry Ford! I had made a mental note to check the bolts for proper torque and had for got. I checked the dipstick and (oh crap) was looking a little milky... I got a full turn on a few of the bolts! Anyway, I went through the torque sequence, put 65+ ft pounds. I put some stop leak in it as well, then ran it up on a fast idle and got it warmed up really good, cook that water out of there! I'll re-torque after it's cooled down in the morning, fingers crossed for no more water in the oil. Needs oil changed anyway, will do that too.
