L S,
I have a Mack Hils box and it's perfect....whomever you choose be
SURE you tell them you want the fender bolts holes...some sources omit
these holes and it ain't fun to locate and punch/drill them on location.

Great experience with Mack Hils for many years. They know their products. JMO Al

I live real close to Northern Classics and he has a very nice box complete or you put together. Good prices and excellent quality. Just got a brand new F-1 tailgate and it is perfect. Good luck! Just bought me a 40. Can wait to get it!!! Ken

I bought a bed unassembled from Mack Hils also. They have a very good product and are the only one( at the time) that had the replacement metal bed floor. The only suggestion I have is if you can swing it I would buy it already assembled due to the spot welding to make it look factory correct. I spot welded mine with a Lenco-spot and it was difficult getting it right. Good luck in whatever your decesion.

Also forgot, Northern makes the 40/41 running boards. Exact in every way. Ken

Unless something has changed, Northern makes their own bed. I got mine for my '40 from them assembled and it is very nice.

I have used parts from both Mac Hills and Northern Classic and both are great. I used Northern Classic for several parts and patches on my '40 as well as the running boards. I often stop and talk to them at Hershey. They are family owned and very nice to work with. Northern Classic stamps his own stuff too. The detail is second to none. Good luck with your build.

We have been selling the Northern Classic beds for years. Todd's quality is top notch. The corners on the stampings are sharp like the originals. Todd is the only source on the running boards. Drake is buying them from Todd. We stock both the bed and the boards. Just picked up 12 beds from Todd last week. Paul @ Midwest Early Ford
