Starter assembly question

This is not as big of an crisis as it looks. Remove the armature leaving the brush plate attached. Take off the band. Reach down inside the housing and push a brush up into its' holder. This pushes the two connecting copper cables up and above the starter housing. Place a screw driver (anything will do), under the copper wire loupe to hold the brush up. Repeat for the remaining three. Place the armature back in the starter housing and remove each screwdriver letting the brushes down to the armature. Done.
