I had good luck with Greyhound, but the receiver has to be willing to pick up at the nearest Greyhound depot.

Fastenal is in the freight business in the continental US. I am told their rates are good in that they ship things from store to store. The Hit & Miss engine people use them regularly. see;
https://www.fastenal.com/en/22/third...logistics-(3pl) ( If you really want a fright you probably should get a quote from UPS)

I assume you are the Seller ? Let the potential Buyer deal with it. The economical way to ship body parts is in an enclosed trailer with a fellow car enthusiast heading that direction. It can be done - but takes time & planning. Years ago I created a group here on the Barn where members could post their hauling needs & availability but it does not see much use ..... @ http://www.fordbarn.com/forum/group.php?groupid=24 Jim |

Re: need a fright co to ship turtle deck
Fastenal is easy, have used them dozens of times.
Seller drops off box at local Fastenal...buyer pays freight charge when he picks up at his local store. No charge to seller at drop off, freight is paid at destination. I have shipped mounted wheels and tires, fenders and other odd-ball stuff. They shrink wrap it to a pallet and off you go. Much cheaper than UPS or FedEx Ground. |

Fastenal is quick & easy. You also don't have to worry about dealing with someone dishonest that will steal your part if he gets the chance.

Re: need a fright co to ship turtle deck
Forward Air is cheap and fast. I've been using them for 20+ years to ship large heavy objects. First rate!
http://www.forwardair.com Note, just like Fastenal, you want to ship from a Forward Air location to another Forward Air location to make it economical. Forward Air has terminals at all major airports across the USA.

Re: need a fright co to ship turtle deck
Thank you Royce. Unlike Fastenall, Forward Air will ship to & from Canada - They have terminals in Toronto & Montreal. (I am about 45 miles from the Toronto International Airport.)
