What would everyone recomend, steel, plastic or staninless steel?

I have a plastic one in my 48 Ford, been there over ten years with zero problems. Car has been used a lot.

The new cars have tanks made of plastic. They dont rust. Be sure the filler pipe has a good ground to the frame.

I put a Drakes steel tank in my 39 this year and not having any problem.Not to long ago someone here had a plastic tank that was leaking.The tank should fit without removing the body they had a problem few years ago.
